Privacy Statement

Last updated on 16 October 2026. This statement applies to all visitors, wherever they are. It replaces the regional privacy statements and the WordPress privacy policy published on this website before that date.

1. Who we are

This website, https://fairmusic.io, is operated by New Internet Media Holding, which is the controller of the personal data described below.

New Internet Media Holding
Narva mnt 5, Kesklinna linnaosa
10117 Tallinn, Harju maakond
Estonia
Email: [email protected]

2. Summary

  • This is a static information website. It has no user accounts, no forms, no comments and no newsletter sign-up.
  • It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
  • It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and loads no fonts, scripts or media from third parties.
  • Our web server and our network provider see your IP address and the technical details of each request, which is unavoidable when delivering a website. Server logs are deleted after 14 days.
  • We do not sell or share personal data for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Data we process when you visit

3.1 Server logs

For each request our web server records your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the response status, the referring page and your browser's user agent string. We use these logs only to keep the website secure and working, for example to detect attacks and diagnose errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. The logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 days, unless a specific entry is needed to investigate a security incident.

3.2 Content delivery and protection

Traffic to this website passes through Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers the pages and protects the website against attacks. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details on our behalf for that purpose. Cloudflare may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards in its data processing terms, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

4. When you contact us

If you email us, we use your email address, name and the content of your message to answer you and to keep a record of the correspondence. We keep this for as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, and then delete it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions sent to us, or the steps needed to enter into an agreement with you if you ask about one.

The contact form at contact.fairmusic.io is a separate website. Its own privacy information applies to anything you submit there.

5. Data from the earlier version of this website

Until 16 October 2026 this website ran on WordPress and collected some personal data through features that no longer exist:

  • waitlist sign-ups (email address, IP address and time of sign-up);
  • registrations of musical works (names, email addresses, wallet addresses, copyright shares and uploaded audio and image files);
  • cookie consent records and website statistics.

This data is no longer collected. What was collected is kept in a restricted archive that is not reachable from the internet, only for the purpose for which it was originally given. It will be deleted no later than 16 October 2027, 12 months after the change. You can ask us at any time to see or delete any of it.

6. Cookies

This website does not use cookies or similar technologies. See our Cookie Statement.

7. Who receives your data

We share personal data only with the service providers described above (Cloudflare and our email provider), who process it on our behalf, and with others only if the law requires it, for example in response to a court order. If our organisation or this website is merged, sold or transferred, the data may pass to the new owner, who will be bound by this statement.

8. Security

The website is served as static files over an encrypted connection. It runs no server-side code that handles visitor input, and access to the server and the archive described in section 5 is limited to the people who need it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights over your personal data:

  • to know what data we hold about you and why, and to get a copy of it;
  • to have incorrect data corrected;
  • to have your data deleted;
  • to restrict or object to how we use it;
  • to receive the data you gave us in a commonly used format, or have it sent to another organisation;
  • to withdraw consent you have given, without affecting what was done before;
  • to complain to a data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm your identity so that we do not give out or delete someone else's data. We reply within one month. If a request is complex we may extend this by up to two further months, and we will tell you within the first month if we do.

10. Information for specific regions

European Economic Area and Switzerland

We process personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, for visitors in Switzerland, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection. The legal bases are given in the sections above. Our lead supervisory authority is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee). You can also complain to the authority in the country where you live or work, or to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

United Kingdom

The UK GDPR gives you the rights listed in section 9. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

United States, including California

In the last 12 months this website has collected the categories of data described in sections 3 to 5: identifiers (IP address, email address), internet activity (server log entries) and, through the earlier website, the information people chose to submit. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. California residents may ask to know, correct and delete their personal information, and we will not treat anyone differently for doing so. You may use an authorised agent. You can also contact the California Privacy Protection Agency (cppa.ca.gov).

Canada

You may access and correct your personal information and withdraw consent as described above. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Australia

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. You can ask for access or correction as described above, and if you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

South Africa

We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You can complain to the Information Regulator at [email protected].

Brazil

Under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) you have the rights listed in section 9, including confirmation that processing takes place. If we do not resolve a request you have sent us, you can petition the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD, gov.br/anpd).

11. Changes to this statement

We will update this statement when the way we process personal data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
